Project Title:
Community-Based Mass Screening Programme for General Health Problems with Emphasis on Ovarian Cancer & Relationship of Risk Factors of Vitamin D Amongst Population Belonging to the Tribal Society of Jharkhand on 24th February, 2024 at Ghatsilla, Jharkhand.
Objective:
The aim of this initiative is to bridge the healthcare gap in underprivileged communities. Specifically, the program emphasizes Ovarian and Cervical Cancer awareness, early detection, and the role of Vitamin D in maintaining optimal health. Therefore, the initiative carries out the following objectives:
- Firstly, raise awareness about Ovarian and Cervical Cancer and its preventive measures.
- Secondly, educate the community about the significance of Vitamin D and its risk factors.
- Finally, provide comprehensive healthcare services to the marginalized population of the village/area.
Screening and Consultation Statistics:
- Number of Patients Screened for Ovarian Cancer: 110 female beneficiaries between the ages of 25 to 65 years.
- Number of Patients Screened for Vitamin D3: 110 female patients between the ages of 25 to 65 years.
- Number of Patients Provided OPD Consultation: 161
Other Community Health Activities:
Additionally, the following health talks were conducted:
- Health Talk on Menstrual Hygiene
- Health Talk on Iron Deficiency Anemia
- Health Talk on Cancers in Females
As a result, more than 750 females between the ages of 25 to 65 years were imparted information/awareness on Menstrual Hygiene, Iron Deficiency Anemia, and Cancers in Females.
