Project Title – Community based mass screening programme for Ovarian Cancer and Relationship of risk factors of Vitamin D and Awareness on Cervical cancer amongst the population belongs to Rural / Underprivileged society of Delhi NCR. During August- September, 2023 at Sarfarabad Village, Noida.
Objective- The aim and objective of this initiative to bridge the healthcare gap in underprivileged communities, emphasizing Ovarian and Cervical Cancer awareness, early detection, and the role of Vitamin D in maintaining optimal health.
The initiative carried out with the following objectives:-
Raise awareness about Ovarian and Cervical Cancer and its preventive measures.
Educate the community about the significance of Vitamin D and its risk factors.
Provide comprehensive healthcare services to the marginalized population of Village / Area.
Number of Patient screened for Ovarian Cancer- 605 Female beneficiaries between the age group of 25 years to 65 years.
Number of Patient screened for Vitamin D3- 605 Female patients between the age group of 25 years to 65 years.
Number of Patient provided OPD Consultation- 800
Number of Patient provided OPD Consultation- 800
Number of Patient provided Sanitary Pads- 515 Female beneficiaries were provided Sanitary Pads.
Other community health activities-
Health talk on Menstrual Hygiene;
Health talk on Iron Deficiency Anaemia;
Health talk on Cancers in female.
More then 5000+ females (Nearly 800+Families) of between the age group of 25 years to 65 years were imparted information / awareness on Menstrual Hygiene, Iron Deficiency Anaemia and on Cancers in Female-
Around 50% partcipants Diagnosed with deficiency of Vitamin D and accordingly , Doctors advised them the medicine.
